Job Opportunity: Licensed Social Worker (Kauai, HI)

Location: Kapaa, Hawaii
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Position within the Social Services Department.
• Provide crisis intervention, psychotherapy, family therapy, and comprehensive case management for patients/residents and their families.
• Lead or assist with referral and admission processes for new referrals.
• Provide technical guidance to doctors, hospital staff, and outside agencies on case handling within State and Federal guidelines.
• Travel required to and from other facilities within the region.

Required Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work from a program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) or equivalent regional accreditation.
• Master’s degree preferred.

Experience

• Minimum 1 year of professional social work experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Experience must demonstrate ability to perform difficult and complex assignments.

Licensure

• Current, valid Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license required.
• Licenses such as LBSW or LMSW are not sufficient.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.

Additional Information

• Holidays worked are paid based on hours worked (New Year’s Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Day).
• Position requires travel within the region.
• Compliance requirements must be completed prior to arrival.
