Nursing Contract Opportunity - Estes Park, Colorado
Position Summary
Provide quality, compassionate patient care using the nursing process to meet the needs of patients of all ages in both outpatient and inpatient settings.

Essential Duties
- Deliver age-specific patient care safely, timely, and professionally
- Administer medications following the 7 Rights: Right Drug, Client, Dose, Time, Route, Reason, and Documentation
- Respond appropriately in emergency situations (ALCS, BLS, TNCC, PALS/ENPC skill sets required)
- Educate and counsel patients and families on care plans and discharge teaching
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations
- Practice according to professional and ethical nursing standards and Colorado State Nurse Practice Act
- Participate in financial stewardship by efficient use of resources
- Engage in committees or community events when possible
- Comply with all local, state, and federal laws and regulatory standards
Position Requirements
Education
- Graduate of an accredited or state board-approved Registered/Professional Nursing program if less than 3 years’ experience
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
Licensure
- Valid Colorado RN license or valid multistate RN license through the Nurse Licensure Compact
Certifications (Required)
- American Heart Association BLS
- ACLS
- PALS
- CPI
- TNCC/ATCN
- ENPC
Certifications (Recommended)
- CEN
- NIHSS
Additional Requirements
- Immunization records including immunity to Rubella, Rubeola, Mumps, Varicella-Zoster, and Hepatitis B
- TB test within the last year (QuantiFERON accepted)
- Influenza vaccination required during flu season (Sept 1 - March 31)
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within the last 30 days
- Proof of OSHA training and other regulatory requirements
- Criminal background check including OIG and CAPS check through the State of Colorado within the last 30 days
- Resume and documented references
- Skills and competency assessment
