Wound Care RN - Days
Location: Newport, Oregon
Employment Type: Contract (13 weeks)
Shift: Days (07:30 AM - 05:00 PM), no weekends
Hours per Week: 36
Job Summary
- Provide treatment based on established care plans for patients with wounds, fistulas, percutaneous tubes, ostomies, incontinence, and skin breakdown.
- Serve as a resource and consultant to patients and nursing staff.
- Perform assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Collaborate with Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nurse (WOCN) to update care plans.
Department Overview
- Focus on acute and chronic wounds caused by diabetes, surgery, injury, poor blood flow, and other conditions.
- Care is physician-driven and centered on wound, ostomy, and continence care.
- Includes adjunctive therapies such as vein medicine and hyperbaric medicine.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Oregon
- Minimum 6 months (0.5 years) of wound care experience within the last year
- Healthcare Provider Level BLS certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
