Wound Care RN - Days

Location: Newport, Oregon
Employment Type: Contract (13 weeks)
Shift: Days (07:30 AM - 05:00 PM), no weekends
Hours per Week: 36

Job Summary

Provide treatment based on established care plans for patients with wounds, fistulas, percutaneous tubes, ostomies, incontinence, and skin breakdown.
Serve as a resource and consultant to patients and nursing staff.
Perform assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
Collaborate with Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nurse (WOCN) to update care plans.

Department Overview

Focus on acute and chronic wounds caused by diabetes, surgery, injury, poor blood flow, and other conditions.
Care is physician-driven and centered on wound, ostomy, and continence care.
Includes adjunctive therapies such as vein medicine and hyperbaric medicine.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Oregon
Minimum 6 months (0.5 years) of wound care experience within the last year
Healthcare Provider Level BLS certification
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
