Unit Information

Unit: 5 East Medical PCU
Number of Beds: 20
Staffing:
- Day Shift: 1 charge nurse, 5 nurses (RN or LVN), 2 Patient Care Technicians (PCTs), 1 Health Unit Coordinator (HUC)
- Night Shift: 1 charge nurse, 5 nurses (RN or LVN), 2 PCTs
Patient Ratios: Approximately 4-5 patients per nurse
Equipment: EMR system - Meditech

Required Skills and Certifications

Must Have: PCU skill competency
Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS
Preferred Skills: Additional PCU and Med/Surg experience considered a plus

Work Environment

Floating Areas: All PCU and Med/Surg units
Dress Code: Nurses wear royal blue scrubs; PCTs wear maroon
Schedule: Rotating weekends

Experience Requirements

Years of Experience in Specialty: Minimum 1 year
Prior Travel Experience: Not specified / not required
