LPN/LVN Travel Position - Richmond, Virginia
Unit Information
- Unit: Cardiac Stepdown Unit
- Number of Beds: 18
- Location: 4th Floor
- EMR System: MEDITECH
Staffing and Patient Ratios
- Day Shift:
- Ratio: 4:1 with 1-2 Patient Care Technicians (PCTs)
- Team Nursing: 1 RN and 1 LPN caring for 8 patients
- Night Shift:
- Ratio: 4:1 with 1-2 PCTs
- Team Nursing: 1 RN and 1 LPN caring for 8 patients
Responsibilities
- Provide all patient care except:
- Assessments
- Documentation of discharge
- Restraints
- Setup of blood administration
- Work in a team nursing model with an RN who handles all assessments
- Administer medications, perform wound care, and other patient care tasks as needed
- Collaborate with RN and PCT for comprehensive patient care
Requirements
- Must have BLS, ACLS, and cardiac monitoring certification
- Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs required; inappropriate attire is not acceptable
Contract Length
- 13 weeks (Travel assignment)
