Job Description

• Work in a 16-bed Medical Intensive Care Unit (ICU) providing complex monitoring and treatment of adult patients.
• Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals as needed.
• Schedule options include 36 or 48 hours per week.
• Holidays and every other weekend coverage required.
• Collaborate with all disciplines of the care team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain a safe and comfortable environment for patients.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Alabama
• Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing
• Minimum 18 months to 2 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year of recent experience in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
• Certifications:

  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) issued by the American Heart Association
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals as needed

Work Environment & Other Details

• Patient-facing clinical role.
• EMR system used: Meditech.
• Dress code: Solid navy scrub colors.
• Parking available.
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week.
