Job Description

As a Behavioral Health Registered Nurse, you will provide direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process of Assessment, Planning, Intervention, and Evaluation. You will develop nursing care plans in coordination with patients, families, and interdisciplinary staff. You will communicate changes in patients' clinical conditions with physicians, nursing supervisors/managers, and co-workers, and participate in the discharge planning process.

Unit Information

• Number of Beds: 104 across five units (adult, child, geriatric)
• Patient Ratios: Approximately 1:8 (lower ratios for geriatric and pediatric patients)
• Patient Population: Geriatric, pediatric (ages 5-17), and adult patients
• Equipment: None specified
• Electronic Health Record: Cerner
• Supervision: Shift supervisors only

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts
• Minimum 1 year of psychiatric nursing experience, including experience within the last year
• Experience in an inpatient psychiatric/behavioral health setting
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in behavioral health nursing
