Contract Length

Unit Information

Emergency Department with 14 beds
Staffed by 48 personnel
Patient ratio: 1 nurse to 3-4 patients
Electronic Medical Record system: Meditech / CPN

Schedule

Shift: 7 PM to 7 AM
Typical staffing includes multiple RNs covering day and night shifts

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Kansas
Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department (ED) experience within the last year
Experience in an Acute Care setting
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS, Crisis Prevention Intervention Training (CPI)

Preferred Qualifications

ENPC certification
IO (Intraosseous) training

Typical Procedures Performed

Central line insertion
Chest tube placement and thoracic lavage
Intubations
