Registered Nurse - ICU

Location: Bowling Green, Kentucky
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit Information

Unit: ICU/CCU
Number of Beds: 16
Patient Ratios: Typically 2:1, sometimes 3:1
Staffing: Unit secretaries and tech availability varies; tech staffed depending on census
Equipment Used: Impella, GE monitors, Temporary Pacemakers, EKOS, IABP, Artic Sun, Hemodynamic monitoring
Documentation System: Meditech
Scheduling: 36 hours weekly
Floating Policy: Float in rotation with core staffing
Dress Code: Scrubs (any color), no denim, capris, or camo

Required Certifications

BLS (Basic Life Support)
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
NIH Certification
Registered Nurse License

Requirements/Qualifications

Valid RN license in Kentucky
Minimum 2 years of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience, including experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification

Skills and Qualifications

Advanced skills including:
- Central line insertions
- Dialysis catheter insertions
