Job Summary

• Practice independently in a similar clinical setting
• Provide routine and complex nursing care with long-range planning
• Manage clinical contingencies and delegate appropriately
• Meet OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders
• Deliver nursing care following ANA Scope and Standards of Practice (assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation)
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Administer medications and treatments per protocol, monitor side effects and effectiveness
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, families, and caregivers

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
• Experience: Minimum 1 year in related nursing specialty (Acute Med/Surg)
• Licenses/Certifications:

  • RN license in Texas or compact license
  • BLS (AHA only) required
