Job Details
- Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN) - Oncology
- Unit: Oncology Care Unit
- Unit Size: 25 beds
- Patient Ratios: 1:4 to 1:5
- Shift: 7 PM - 7 AM, 3 twelve-hour shifts per week, every third weekend
- Scheduling: One 1-day and 1-night shift PTO granted at a time
- Documentation System: Meditech
- Unit Staffing: Unit secretaries and patient care technicians (PCT) available on most shifts
Requirements
- Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years in a hospital setting (higher value confirmed)
- Licenses: Active Registered Nurse License with compact license at submission
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) required, CPR certification required
- Skills: Advanced skills needed, including ability or willingness to learn to access portacath
- Dress Code: All navy
Additional Information
- Newly renovated unit with updated call bell system, vital sign machines, scales, and IV pumps
- Work every third weekend
- PTO scheduling allows for one day and one night shift off at a time
