- Unit: Medical-Surgical (Neuro and Trauma)
- Number of Beds: 18
- Staff Composition: 13 RNs, 5 LPNs, 25 PCTs
- Patient Ratios: 5-6 patients per nurse
- Equipment Used: Feeding pumps, PEG tubes, IVs, central lines, drains, EKGs
- EMR System: Meditech
Job Requirements
- Active Compact RN License at submission
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong sense of teamwork, compassion, and patience
- Preferred skills: Strong communication and neuro assessment skills
- Typical procedures: Assist neurologist with bedside lumbar punctures, central line dressing changes, tube feedings, wound care, Foley catheter insertion
Work Environment
- Shift Types: Day and Night shifts with clinical coordinators
- Floating Area: Med Surg
- Dress Code: Navy scrubs
- Weekend Requirement: Every 3rd weekend
