Position Details

Unit Information

• Number of Beds: 24
• Patient Ratios: 1:4 (days and nights)
• Staffing: Charge nurse, Patient Care Technician (PCT), monitor tech, unit secretaries
• Equipment: Telemetry monitoring
• Documentation System: Allscripts
• Scheduling: Every other weekend
• Floating Policy: Floating to like units

Required Skills & Experience

• Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty (Cardiac Telemetry)
• Certifications Required:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • NIH Certification
• Licenses: Registered Nurse License

Clinical Skills & Procedures

• Knowledge of telemetry monitoring
• Care of patients post-TAVR (Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement), cardiac catheterizations, ablations, Watchman device, cardiac drips
• Procedures performed on unit include:

  • TAVR
  • Ablations
  • Watchman device management
  • STEMI care
  • Pacemakers
  • CardioMEMS

Additional Information

• Dress code requires a specific uniform (unit guidelines/policies apply)
• Floating to similar units may be required
• Opportunity to work with advanced cardiac technology and experienced staff
• Schedule includes every other weekend shifts
