Job Opportunity: RN - ICU (Travel)

Location: Tomball, Texas
Unit: Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit Information

• Number of Beds: 20
• Staffing:

  • Day Shift: 1 charge nurse, 10 RNs (no support staff)
  • Night Shift: 1 charge nurse, 10 RNs (no support staff)
• Patient Ratios: 2:1 (low acuity 3:1)
• Equipment: Baxter Pumps
• EMR System: Expanse

Required Skills & Experience

• Specialty: Medical ICU experience required
• Procedures Commonly Performed:

  • Intubation
  • Central lines
  • Endoscopy
  • Tracheostomy
  • Chest tubes
• Skill Requirements:

  • Ventilator management
  • Drip titration
• Years of Experience: Minimum 1 year in specialty (Medical ICU)
• Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required

Certifications & Licenses

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• NIH Certification
• Registered Nurse License

Work Schedule & Environment

• Shift: Includes 4 weekend shifts per schedule
• Floating Areas: Progressive Care
• Dress Code: Royal Blue scrubs
