Facility & Unit Overview

• Unit: Endoscopy
• Number of Beds: 147
• Equipment: Olympus scopes, Boston Scientific instruments, Steris scope cabinets, Olympus scope washers
• Documentation System: Meditech Expanse
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, no call, day shift hours vary daily
• Floating Policy: Rarely required to assist in OR with room turnover
• Work Environment: Small, close-knit team working collaboratively with CRNAs and physicians
• Procedure Rooms: 3 total; 1-2 rooms run daily, including bronchoscopy and intubated patient procedures
• Patient Care: Outpatient and inpatient procedures performed

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in specialty (Endoscopy/GI procedures)
• Experience performing GI procedures, bronchoscopy, PEG tube placements, and scope reprocessing
• Ability to perform colonoscopy, EGD, bronchoscopy, and PEG tube placements
• Role includes scope room duties and tech support during procedures

Certifications & Licenses

• Registered Nurse License (valid in Virginia)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• Dress Code: Ceil blue scrubs provided after order; personal scrubs may be worn until then
