Travel RN – Cardiac Telemetry
Location: Springfield, Missouri
Assignment Length: 13 weeks
Position Details
- Specialty: Cardiac Telemetry
- Shift: Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Weekly Hours: 36 or 48 (flexible, must be indicated on submission)
- Number of Openings: 2
- Weekend Hours: As required by facility
- Call Requirements: None
- Contract Type: Travel
Licensure & Certifications
- Current RN license eligible or active in Missouri
- Required: BLS (AHA only), NIHSS (must be obtained prior to start if not submitted)
- Preferred: ACLS (AHA only)
Experience
- Minimum 1 year experience in Cardiac Telemetry (inpatient only)
- Competence in drug titration required
Unit Information
- 31 beds
- Patient Ratios (estimated):
- Days: 1:5 to 1:6
- Nights: 1:6 to 1:8
- Equipment: Alaris pumps, telemetry, lift equipment
- EMR system: EPIC
- Patient Population: Cardiac and Medical-Surgical
Job Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation)
- Coordinate patient care with ancillary departments
- Maintain patient rights and confidentiality
- Evaluate care effectiveness of other caregivers
- Float on a rotational basis within the unit
- Follow Missouri Nurse Practice Act and facility standards
Physical & Mental Requirements
- Stand and walk most of the shift
- Frequent bending, stooping, lifting, and turning patients with assistance
- Ability to push, pull, grip up to 50 lbs, pinch up to 15 lbs
- May work varying schedules and shifts based on patient care needs
- Exposure to blood and body fluids

- Scrubs: Black
- Unacceptable attire: Torn clothes, open-toed shoes, not wearing scrubs
