Job Description
Seeking a Physical Therapist with at least 2 years of experience in a hospital setting. Experience in inpatient rehab and stroke evaluation/treatment is preferred.
Unit Information
- Unit Type: Rehab Therapy
- Number of Beds: 44
- Patient Ratios: 4:1
- Staffing: 10 OT/PT teams, 3 speech therapists, 1 tech
- Equipment: Sara Lifts, Ceiling Lifts, Vector, Bioness, LiteGait, RT300, Sci Fit
- Documentation System: Meditech Expanse
- Schedule: Four 8-hour shifts between 8am-5pm, including multiple weekend shifts per month
- Floating Policy: May float to acute hospital if rehab census is low
- Patient Experience: Use of AIDET communication and immediate service recovery
- Certifications: Joint Commission Stroke Certification
- Dress Code: Black scrub bottoms and royal blue top preferred
Procedures Performed
- High Intensity Gait Training
- Manual therapy for neuro re-education
- Therapeutic exercise
- Functional activity
- Neuromuscular re-education
- Functional electrical stimulation
Required Qualifications
- Physical Therapist with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospital setting, including experience within the last year
- Experience in stroke evaluation and treatment
- BLS Certification
- De-escalation skills in a healthcare setting
- Joint Commission Stroke Certification
Additional Notes
- Advanced skills not required
- Floating to acute care may be necessary depending on census
- Unit uses modern rehab equipment and technology
- Emphasis on patient communication and service recovery
