Job Opportunity: RN - Med Surg (Travel)

Location: Birmingham, Alabama
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)
Employment Type: Travel

Position Details

Discipline / Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical Surgical (Med Surg)
Shift: 7 AM
Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours
Weekend Hours: Every other weekend
Call Requirements: None
Float Requirements: Will float depending on house staffing
Patient Ratios: 6:1
Unit Beds: 30
EMR System: Cerner

Required Qualifications

Licensure: RN license required
Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) required
Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in Med Surg nursing (highest required years of experience)
Skills/Experience:
- Med/surg nursing
- Orthopedics
- Post-operative care

Preferred Qualifications

Strong time management skills
Experience in med/surg nursing

Work Environment & Culture

Patient population includes medical surgical and post-op surgery patients
Personality fit: Friendly, compassionate, sense of urgency, able to handle challenging situations
Dress code: Navy scrubs
Unacceptable attire: Fake nails, gel nails, dip nails, long nails, ear pods
