Shift Information

• Day Shift Staffing:

  • 1 Charge Nurse
  • 5 RNs
  • 1 CNA
  • 1 Secretary
• Night Shift Staffing:

  • 1 Charge Nurse
  • 5 RNs
• Weekends: Every other weekend
• On Call: No on call required

Required Skills and Experience

• Must Have:

  • ICU experience
  • Experience with neuro/stroke patients
• Preferred:

  • Neuroscience ICU experience
  • Experience with Meditech documentation system
  • Ability to care for 4-5 patients if pulled to neuroscience stepdown unit

Typical Procedures Performed

• Ventriculostomy insertions
• Thrombectomy procedures
• TPA administration
• Tumor resection and biopsy
• Lumbar drain and ventricle management
• Q1 hr Pupillometer monitoring
