Job Opportunity: Pediatric Cardiac Sonographer II

Job Summary

  • Intermediate-level position providing specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology services to pediatric and/or adult patients.
  • Works under general to limited supervision.
  • Supports medical staff in diagnosis, care, treatment, and surveillance of simple to complex cardiovascular conditions.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform specialized imaging procedures using advanced cardiovascular and radiologic technology equipment.
  • Prepare patients for procedures and correlate clinical history with physician orders.
  • Communicate and collaborate with patients, families, and multidisciplinary care teams.
  • Conduct post-procedure reviews to ensure completeness and quality according to protocols and accreditation standards.
  • Transfer images and data to archival systems and prepare studies for physician reporting.
  • Perform quality control, cleaning, and high-level disinfecting of equipment per manufacturer and regulatory guidelines.
  • Participate in continuing education, professional development, and research activities.
  • Provide instruction, mentorship, and in-service training to less experienced team members.
  • Assist with quality assurance and performance improvement tasks.
  • Maintain professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment in all duties.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Pediatric Echocardiography, including experience within the last year.
  • Experience as a Cardiac Sonographer.
  • Experience working with both pediatric and adult patients.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
  • Certification from ARDMS, ARRT, or CCI.
