Unit Description

• 28-bed unit specializing in recovery following vascular and electrophysiology procedures
• Care for patients with acute myocardial infarction (MI), cardiac arrhythmias, syncope, cardiomyopathy, and heart failure
• Provides cardiac monitoring for all patient populations
• Services include titration of multiple intravenous medications and conscious sedation for cardioversions
• All nurses are ACLS certified and have completed an ECG interpretation course
• Suitable for nurses interested in transitioning to an ICU setting

Job Description

• Provide specialized nursing care using knowledge from biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care based on a culturally and age-specific model
• Adhere to the American Nursing Association (ANA) code of ethics and Ohio Nurse Practice Act
• Maintain effective communication, confidentiality, and professional growth
• Ability to accept and implement change and work in a culturally diverse environment

Required Qualifications

• Education: Diploma of Nursing (BSN preferred)
• Licensure: Ohio RN license or Compact license
• Certifications:

  • BLS (American Heart Association)
  • ACLS (American Heart Association)
• All nurses must be ACLS certified and have completed an ECG interpretation course
