Job Description
- ICU RNs will float to all ICUs, step-down units, IMCU, and ED for ICU holds/borders.
- May also float to Women’s and Family units if needed, but will only be assigned to the ICU at this facility.
- Orientation provided for floating to Women’s and Family units.
- Women's and Family units handle patients similar to MICU and RICU, excluding CRRT and ECCMO cases; includes care for preeclampsia, eclampsia, hypertensive moms, hyperemesis, and postpartum hemorrhage.
- Nurse-to-patient ratios will not exceed 1:3 in any unit or hospital.
- Assignments are typically given 24 hours in advance but may change mid-shift to float to other units or hospitals.
- Responsibilities include assessing, implementing, and evaluating patient care under physician direction.
- Collaborates with patients, families, healthcare team members, and directs nursing support staff.
- Professional education, training, or additional certifications may be required by specialty area.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (Required)
- Registered Nurse License in Pennsylvania (Required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Required)
- Minimum 1 year of experience in ICU or relevant clinical specialty (Preferred)
