Registered Nurse

Job Overview

• Guaranteed hours: 36 per week

Schedule

• 12-hour night shifts
• Start time: 5:30 PM
• Weekend rotation: up to every other weekend
• Holiday rotation as needed

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Wisconsin
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• NIHSS
• 3 or more years of experience as a Registered Nurse
• 2 or more years of Medical-Surgical experience
• Med Surg experience within the last year
• One completed travel assignment
• Experience with chest tubes
• Experience with PCA/epidural/Q-ball management
• Experience with continuous bladder irrigation (CBI)
• Neuro Trauma experience
• Ortho Trauma experience
• Experience with Epic

Clinical Setting

• Medical/Surgical 6th Floor
• Primary cases include trauma surgical, neuro, and ortho
• Patient ratio: 1:5 to 1:6 on nights

Responsibilities and Work Conditions

• Float throughout the facility within skillset
• May float to other facilities within a 60-mile radius
• No on-call or call-back requirements
• Missed shifts must be made up within 2 weeks of the absence

Experience / Skill Notes

• EPIC charting experience within the last 2 years
• Hard stops include chest tubes, PCA/epidural/Q-ball, CBI, and care of post-op neuro and ortho trauma surgeries
• Preferred traits: hard worker, resilient, manages change well, social candidate

• No new travelers
• Scrub color: black
• 8-hour unbillable orientation
• GSA hours are not guaranteed during the week of orientation
