Registered Nurse – Medical-Surgical

Location: Marion, Illinois
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 12-hour days (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

Job Description

• Work primarily on a 36-bed medical-surgical/orthopedic unit
• Patient ratios typically 1:5 with a CNA; may be 1:4 primary care if CNA unavailable or staffing issues arise
• Float to Emergency Department (ED) and Intensive Care Unit (ICU) to care for medical holds only
• Weekend and holiday shifts required every other weekend and as needed on holidays
• No on-call or call-back requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license (no pending or temporary licenses)
• Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Experience with EPIC electronic charting system
• Confident, independent nurse with strong resilience and adaptability
• Ability to manage change well and work effectively in a social team environment

Additional Information

• No local candidates within a 40-mile radius will be considered
• Scrub color: Navy Blue
• COVID-19 vaccine not currently required (subject to change)
• Guaranteed hours per week except during holidays when the unit may be closed
• Orientation week hours are not guaranteed
