PACU Registered Nurse

Overview

Travel assignment in Waukesha, Wisconsin
12-week contract
Guaranteed 36 hours per week
Day shift: 4 10-hour shifts, 12:00 PM–9:30 PM

Schedule and location

Works 3 days per week at Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital and 1 day per week at Waukesha Memorial Hospital
Primary location is PACU
Floats between Waukesha Memorial Hospital and Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital, with possible float to MUK Campus and other units as needed
On-call requirement: 1 night per week and 1 weekend every 3 to 4 weeks, with a 30-minute response time
Weekend rotation: every other weekend, 1 day either Saturday or Sunday

Required qualifications

Valid RN license in Wisconsin
PACU - Post Anesthesia Care (2 years of experience)
PACU - Post Anesthesia Care experience within the last year
BLS
ACLS
PALS
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Experience with Epic

Preferred experience

Prior travel contract completion preferred

Unit details

PACU with approximately 12 ORs
Handles 20–30 patients per day
Receives patients from Cath Lab, GI, and IR procedures
Typical patient ratio is 2:1 or 1:1
All specialties except open heart
General, neuro, and procedural experience are desired
Critical care and TAVR experience are a plus

Additional notes

Navy blue scrubs are provided by the hospital
Epic familiarity is required
