Mammography Technician - Brooklyn, New York
Job Details
- Employment Type: Contract
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Hours: 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week
Job Description
- Perform routine screening and diagnostic mammography.
- Demonstrate competency in mammography positioning, compression, and technique factors.
- Ensure all radiographic images are properly labeled according to department SOP.
- Evaluate images for technical acceptability and ensure timely transmission to PACS.
- Complete all studies in IDX system.
- Accurately record all required patient tracking information.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Mammography Technologist license in New York.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Mammography Technologist, including experience within the last year.
- Registered with ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists).
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- Echocardiography certificate.
