Interventional Radiology Technologist (VIT)

Location: Grand Forks, North Dakota

Shift:

  • 40 hours per week, day shift
  • Call: 4–6 weekends per year, 1 night per week

Job Summary

The Interventional Radiology Technologist is responsible for performing duties within the scope of their license, including patient identification, procedure setup, room cleaning, and order preparation with correct coding for physicians.


Key Responsibilities

  • Set up, prepare, and clean exam rooms before and after procedures
  • Maintain room supplies
  • Discuss patient history and educate patients about exams
  • Ensure proper inpatient identification according to standards
  • Prepare and administer contrast under physician direction
  • Perform pain assessments and take appropriate actions
  • Prepare physician fee slips by coding procedures and completing charges in Epic and PACS
  • Perform other duties as needed to support the department

Required Certifications

  • North Dakota Medical Imaging License (prior to start)
  • Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) (prior to start)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association (prior to start)

  • 13 weeks
