Registered Nurse – Interventional Radiology

Location: Wausau, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Varied 8-hour day shifts (start times as early as 6:30 AM)
Hours per Week: 40

Job Description

Work in a fast-paced Interventional Radiology (IR) unit with a 1:1 patient ratio.
Average 4-6 IR procedures per day.
Team includes 1 RN and 2 Radiology Technicians.
May be required to float to other nearby locations as needed.
Weekend/Holiday Requirement: Every 5th to 6th weekend.
On Call/Call Back: 1-2 weeknight calls per week as needed, with a 30-minute response time. Call back minimum is 2 hours. Can be low censused and put on call.
Charting experience with Epic preferred.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Wisconsin
Minimum 4 years of Interventional Radiology nursing experience, including experience within the last year
Current ACLS certification
Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Experience in an outpatient setting

Additional Information

Contractors must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility.
During flu season, travelers who decline flu and COVID vaccinations must wear a mask at all times per facility policy. Non-compliance may result in corrective action.
Contract includes eligibility for 36 hours of low census unbillable hours; travelers may be put on call during these hours and will receive call back pay if called in.
Guaranteed set hours per week except during holidays when the unit is closed.
