Registered Nurse — Intermediate Care

Location

Contract

• Travel assignment
• 13 weeks
• Start ASAP
• 36 guaranteed hours per week

Schedule

• 12-hour variable shifts: 7:00 AM–7:30 PM or 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
• Every other weekend
• Every other holiday

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Wisconsin
• Intermediate Care (3 years of experience)
• Intermediate Care experience within the last year
• One completed travel assignment
• BLS
• ACLS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Experience with Epic

Preferred Qualifications

• NIHSS

Clinical Setting

• Intermediate care / observation unit
• 8-bed unit
• Float to inpatient units as needed, including IMC and CTU
• Patient ratio: 1:4

Charting

• EPIC

Key Patient Population / Skills

• Background in observation, MS/Tele, or similar inpatient units
• Common cases include anemia, cellulitis, COPD, dehydration, and pre-/post-op urology and GI
• May manage cardiac drips including Cardizem, Nitro, insulin, and heparin

Additional Notes

• Traveler must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Low census may reduce worked hours in 4-hour increments
• Flu season vaccination policy applies; if flu and COVID vaccination are declined, mask use is required at all times
