Overview

Schedule

• 12-hour shifts, variable days and nights on a weekly rotation
• Weekend requirement: 2 out of 4 weekends
• Holiday requirement: every other holiday
• May be placed on call during low census
• Call-back minimum: 2 hours

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Minnesota
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Critical Care Float experience within the last year
• 1 year of Critical Care Float experience
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• ACLS issued by American Red Cross
• NIHSS
• Experience in an Acute Care setting
• Stroke patient care experience
• Cardiac patient care experience
• CCU - Coronary Care experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Critical care experience within the past 3 years
• 1 prior travel assignment
• TNCC
• CCRN

Work Setting

• Float between critical care units; may also float to lower-acuity units based on census and need
• Core responsibilities include assessing and documenting patient condition, communicating changes, initiating discharge planning, supporting stroke and/or cardiac care, recognizing abuse, participating in nursing rounds, and recognizing abnormal diagnostic data

Additional Notes

• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius
• Epic experience is preferred
• Royal blue scrubs
• Low-census unbillable hours may apply for up to 36 hours
• Orientation hours are not guaranteed
• Candidates with contract experience in colder climates are preferred for winter start dates
