Pediatric Emergency Room RN
Overview
- Travel assignment for a Registered Nurse in Pediatric Emergency Room.
- Contract length: 13 weeks.
- Start date: ASAP.
- Guaranteed hours: 36 per week.
- Primary location: Milwaukee.
Shift
- 12-hour days.
- Weekend rotation: every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
- Holiday rotation: as it falls on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
- Shift time: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Wisconsin.
- Pediatrics ER - Emergency Room (1.5 years of experience).
- Pediatrics ER - Emergency Room experience within the last year.
- One completed travel assignment.
- BLS issued by American Heart Association.
- PALS issued by American Heart Association.
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
- Experience in a(n) Emergency Department setting.
- Experience with conscious or moderate sedation.
- Experience with Epic.
Preferred Qualifications
- Level I Trauma experience.
- ACLS.
- TNCC.
- Epic experience.
Unit Details
- Level 1, efficient fast-paced 50-bed ED.
- Sees low-acuity and high-acuity pediatric emergency patients.
- Approximately 200-280 visits per day.
- Fast track area and higher-acuity area.
- Fast track closes by 1:00 AM.
Float / Assignment Notes
- Caregivers may be floated to sit with a patient and will not perform actual inpatient nursing duties.
Additional Notes
- Any professional scrubs.
- Covid vaccine no longer required.
