Registered Polysomnographic Technologist
Location: Bloomington, Illinois
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday)
Hours: 12 hours per shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch)
Weekly Hours: 36 hours
Job Overview
- Perform sleep studies including CPAP, BiPAP, ASV, Diagnostic PSG, and Pediatric PSG for patients over 2 years old with TCo2 monitoring.
- Work in a 6-bed sleep lab operating on a 2:1 patient-to-tech ratio.
- Utilize equipment such as Natus, Somnoware, and Resmed Aircurve 11.
- No call required.
- Dress code: Scrubs (no specific color or style).
Required Qualifications
- Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) certification via BRPT.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA).
- CPR certification.
- Active Illinois license or proof that the application process has been initiated.
- Must pass a comprehensive drug screen (drug-free campus policy).
Orientation & Training
- 12 hours of non-billable orientation.
- Initial training includes working alongside existing techs Monday through Wednesday nights during the first week before working independently.
Additional Notes
- Local rate adjustments apply for clinicians living within 50 miles.
- Call off policy allows up to 12 hours off every 13 weeks without penalty or pay deduction.
