Cath Lab Tech - Sioux Falls, South Dakota

Contract Length

13 weeks

Required Certifications

BLS (must be AHA certified)
ACLS (must be AHA certified)
RCIS or RCES preferred

Experience Requirements

2-3 years of experience required (use 3 years as the higher requirement)

Job Description

Scrub, circulate, and monitor peripheral/vascular cases, right and left heart catheterizations
Possibly scrub devices and work in Electrophysiology (EP) cases
Use equipment including XIM (division of Witt), EPIC, Pyxis, Xcelera, Siemens, and Philips fluoroscopy systems

Work Schedule

4 shifts per week, 10 hours each (shifts vary: 05:30-16:00, 06:30-17:00, 07:30-18:00)
On-call responsibilities: 1 call per week and 1 weekend call every 3-4 weeks with a 30-minute response time
Must be available to fill any vacant call shifts not picked up

Additional Information

No floating to other units or departments
Unit has 8 fluoroscopy rooms and 1 minimally invasive room without fluoroscopy
Orientation focuses on monitoring in XIM and effective scrubbing and circulating
Scrubs provided (Ceil Blue color)
Clinicians must badge in and out at the facility
