Endo/GI Travel Nurse Opportunity - Long Beach, California

Job Details

• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Experience Required: Minimum 2 years of Endo/GI nursing experience
• Licenses/Certifications Required:

  • Active CA Nursing License
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • Procedural sedation competency test
• EMR System: Cerner
• Unit: Endoscopy/GI Lab
• Procedure Rooms: 3 bays
• Procedures per Day: 15-30
• Common Procedures: ERCP, EGD, PEGs, all scopes, some bronchoscopy with RT support; may assist in OR for GI procedures
• Certifications Preferred: GI Tech certification preferred (with BLS)

Work Schedule & Call Requirements

• Shifts: Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts with start times between 7:00 AM and 10:00 AM depending on case schedule
• Call:

  • Monday to Friday, 3:00 PM to 7:00 AM
  • Saturday and Sunday, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
  • 2 required weekday call shifts per week
  • 2 required weekend call days per month
• Weekend/Holiday: Call only
• Orientation: Floor-specific orientation for one week or until comfortable
• Floating: Not required

  • Charge Nurse supervises
  • Hospitalist or Intensivist available on call after hours
  • Respiratory Therapy available 24/7
  • Pharmacy available 24/7
