Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in California
Labor and Delivery (3 years of experience)
Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
3 or more completed travel assignments
ACLS issued by American Heart Association
AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring (AFM)
BLS issued by American Heart Association
NRP Advanced
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Mother baby postpartum care experience
Circulating in the operating room
Scrubbing in the operating room
Experience with Epic

Experience / Skills

Acute care experience in Labor & Delivery and mother-baby postpartum care
Ability to work across Labor & Delivery, postpartum, PACU for recovering mothers, and OR circulation
Ability to float to mother-baby overflow if needed
Ability to work independently with limited staff

Unit Notes

13-bed LDRP / Family Birthing Center
No cardiac telemetry
No nurse aides or surgical techs on the unit
Charge nurse/house supervisor support is available
Neonatologist is available but not in house; OB hospitalist coverage is in house most of the time and available on call within 30 minutes
May be placed on call during low census
Weekends and holidays may be required
No block scheduling
3-shift unit orientation
Scrub color/dress code is provided

Additional Considerations

Facility is smoke-free and requires negative nicotine/cotinine drug screening
STABLE would be a plus
