Respiratory Therapist

Location

Omaha, Nebraska

Contract Length

13 weeks

Schedule

12-hour day shifts
Team scheduling
Weekend coverage: every third weekend
Holiday coverage rotates with permanent staff
Floating required within the hospital’s respiratory therapy areas
Orientation: 3 shifts

Required Qualifications

Current ACLS and BLS certification
Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) via NBRC or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Recent Level 1 or Level 2 experience
Driver’s license required at submittal
Must be at least 50 miles from the facility
Cannot be full-time, part-time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and Dignity

Preferred Qualifications

NRP
PALS

Clinical Experience / Skills

Experience with EKGs, bedside bronchoscopy, and bedside spirometry
Experience caring for patients from neonates through geriatrics
Inpatient experience across all hospital areas/floors

Work Environment

Hospitalist or intensivist available 24/7
Lead therapist on shift
Traveler will not be the only respiratory therapist in-house
Artificial nails are prohibited in patient care areas

Scheduling Notes

Requested time off must be submitted upfront
Up to 7 days of requested time off is allowed for the 13-week contract
Additional time off will not be approved after submission
