Overview

• Role: PCU Nursing Float
• Location: Silverdale, Washington
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Nights, 12 hours (7p-7a)
• Weekly hours: 36

Required Qualifications

• WA or Compact RN license
• BLS (AHA)
• ACLS (AHA)
• NIHSS

Preferred

• Experience with CAPD (Peritoneal Dialysis)

Unit Details

• Unit: PCU Nursing Float
• Beds: 32
• Ratios: 1:4
• Float scope: 4th, 5th, or 6th floor for PCU patients; may also float to MS/Tele and PCU floors
• Orientation: 12 hours of policy/procedure, plus 12 hours on unit with preceptor
• Scrub color: N/A

Clinical Setting

• Tele monitors available
• Nurses read strips
• No vents
• Hospitalist and Intensivist in house 24/7
• IV team available 1100-2300
• RT 24/7 in house
• Pharmacy 24/7 in house
• RRT RN 24/7
• Phlebotomy 24/7

• CVA/TIA
• STEMI/NSTEMI
• Chest pain rule out MI
• ACS
• CHF
• Acute and chronic renal failure
• Respiratory failure/distress
• DKA/HHNK
• PE/DVT
• Afib
• Pre/post cardiac angiogram
• Stents
• Pre/post pacemaker
• Pre/post cardiac ablation
• Pre-CABG
• CIWA

Scheduling Notes

• No block scheduling requests
• Weekend and holiday coverage based on unit needs/demands
• Early December start may be considered
• Start date and RTO must be approved before offer extension
• Traveler will need to work holidays
