Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Location

• Bryan, Texas

Contract

• 12 weeks
• 40 hours per week
• Day shift

Required Qualifications

• BLS certification
• Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist credential through ARRT or NMTCB
• Ability to start IVs
• Copy of a driver’s license is required at submission to validate legal name

Experience / Work Expectations

• No special skills beyond IV starts are listed
• Floating between the Bryan and College Station campuses is required as needed
• On-call is required
• Weekend and holiday coverage is required
• Call-outs are strongly discouraged and may lead to termination

Clinical Setting

• Nuclear medicine department
• Studies performed include cardiac, HIDA, bone scan, gastric emptying, GI bleed, lung, brain death, and DAT scans
• Department currently has 1 scanner, with a second being replaced
• Uses Meditech, Fuji Synapse PACS, and NMIS

Schedule Notes

• Shift rotation may include 8-hour or 10-hour shifts depending on unit needs
• Department orientation is provided
• Scrubs are black

Additional Considerations

• Candidates must not have been directly employed by any affiliated facility within the past year, with the stated exception for PRN work through outside firms
