• Patient Ratios:

  • 2:1, 3 or 4:1 APU and Triage (using AWHONN guidelines)
• Type of Equipment:

  • EFM with Toco
  • Ultrasound
  • Pulse oximeter
  • BP cables
  • NOVI
• EMR: Meditech

Typical Hiring Profile

Required Skills

• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• IEFM (Intrapartum Electronic Fetal Monitoring)

Preferred Skills

• RNC-OB (Registered Nurse Certified in Obstetrics)
• C-EFM (Certified Electronic Fetal Monitoring)

Typical Procedures Performed

• External fetal monitoring
• C-sections (circulation and recovery)
• Vaginal delivery (circulation and recovery)
• Cerclage placement and removal
• IUPC (Intrauterine Pressure Catheter)
• FSE (Fetal Scalp Electrode)

Dress Code
