Job Description

Seeking a Registered Nurse for an acute care medical surgical unit with telemetry. This is a night shift position covering Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. No on-call requirements. Blocked scheduling is an option.

Unit Details

• Unit Type: Medical Surgical with Telemetry, progressive care, and swing
• Unit Beds: 20
• Facility Licensed Beds: 40 (including 10 swing beds)
• Average Daily Census: 10 patients
• Patient Ratios:

  • Acute care: 1 nurse to 6 patients
  • Swing bed: 1 nurse to 10 patients
• Scrub Color: Navy blue

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license in Indiana
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• PALS certification preferred
• Minimum 3 years of nursing experience preferred
• Skills: IV starts, nursing assessments, telemetry monitoring
• Preferred Skills: Experience with ICU drips
• EMR Experience: Cerner preferred

Additional Information

• Floating to other units is not required
• Must be located more than 50 miles from the facility (local candidates not accepted)
• Travelers must submit required licenses and certifications with application
• Driver’s license and permanent home address must be included and match ID

Schedule & Time Off

• Night shift: Friday, Saturday, Sunday, 7 PM – 7:30 AM
• Time off allowed: Up to 48 hours during the 13-week contract
• Holiday coverage: Every other holiday required

Summary
