Job Details
- Position for the 2025-2026 school year
- 37.5 hours per week
- Must hold a valid School Psychologist license in South Carolina
- Work with students from Kindergarten through 12th grade
- Preference for face-to-face full-time candidates; hybrid schedule allowed with 3 days on-site and 2 days remote
- Schedule is non-negotiable; candidates seeking fully virtual or minimal on-site presence will not be considered
Required Credentials & Certifications
- South Carolina School Psychologist License (mandatory)
- CPR: Not required for School Psychologists
- BLS (Basic Life Support): Not required for School Psychologists
- Educational Services - State Teaching Certificate: Candidates must have SCDE certification prior to start for the 2025-26 school year
- Educational Services - FERPA: Must be signed and updated annually
- Mandatory Reporter Training: South Carolina Mandated Reporter Training required and must be renewed annually
Compliance & Documentation Requirements
- Criminal Background Check: Within 1 year of start, updated annually, including multiple searches (SS Trace, Federal, Nationwide, County, Sex Offender, SC Statewide SLED search)
- EPLS/GSA/SAM checks: Required within 1 year of start and updated annually
- South Carolina School Employee TB Form: Must be completed by a physician or nurse practitioner within 1 year of hire; required for clearance before start
- Negative TB or Chest X-Ray: Required within 1 year of start; subsequent assignments require annual TB Questionnaire unless there is a break in service
- TB Questionnaire: Must be completed annually
- Fingerprinting: Not required, but a name-based criminal record search and National Sex Offender Registry check are mandatory; Richland 2 runs their own background checks and requires candidates to complete an online application
- Arbitration Agreement: Required and expires annually
- Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement: Required and must be updated annually
Additional Notes
- Drug testing is not required by the client for this position
- Physical exams and certain immunizations (e.g., flu, COVID-19, Hepatitis B) are not required unless specifically requested by the client
- Candidates must provide unexpired government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
- Proof of name change required if documents are under different names
- Direct Deposit Authorization and Emergency Contact Form are required
- Candidates must comply with all accounting and employment documentation as per Widefield School District policies
