Job Opportunity: Home Health Registered Nurse (RN)

Location: Everett, Washington
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Specialty: Home Health
• Shift: Day shift, 5 days per week, 8 hours per day (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
• Average Patients per Day: 5-7 (to be confirmed during interview)
• Types of Cases: Geriatric
• On-Call: No
• Territory: Up to a 60-mile radius from the office hub
• Dress Code: Scrubs (any color), no jeans
• Technology Provided: iPad provided; cell phone use not allowed
• Mileage: Reimbursed at IRS standard rate
• Flexibility: Travelers expected to be flexible with territory coverage
• Documentation: Timely documentation and communication required

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Washington
• Minimum 1 year of recent Home Health experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Experience with OASIS electronic medical records

Compliance and Background Requirements

• Background checks must be current within 90 days of start and include:

  • SSN Trace
  • County searches for last 7 years of residence/work/school
  • FACIS Level 1
  • Nationwide Sex Offender
  • Motor Vehicle Records/Driver’s Record
  • Education Verification
  • Work History Verification (7 years)
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 90 days of start
• Fingerprinting required if candidate has not lived in Washington for the past 3 years (completed on-site)
• State-specific criminal history and employability status checks as applicable
• Employment application must include full 7 years of work history with no gaps
• Two professional references required within 2 years of start

Health and Safety Requirements

• Physical exam within the last 12 months (not required annually)
• Fit test for N95 mask (no specific model required)
• Negative TB test (PPD, Q Gold, or TSpot) within 1 year or chest X-ray within 5 years if positive PPD
• Annual TB questionnaire required for all candidates
• Immunizations or positive titers required for:

  • Measles (Rubeola)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
• Seasonal flu vaccination or facility-specific declination form required during flu season
• COVID vaccination or facility-specific declination required
• 9-panel drug screen within 12 months of start (instant acceptable)

Additional Requirements

• Proof of current auto insurance required due to driving responsibilities
• Signed acknowledgment of Orientation Safety Manual and Acceptable Use Policy required prior to start
• Compliance with agency background attestation and facility-specific documentation

Notes

• Locals are accepted and paid at travel rates
• Cell phone use is not permitted during work hours
• Scrubs must be worn; jeans are not allowed
• Prior travel experience is mandatory; first-time travelers will not be considered

This position is ideal for experienced Home Health RNs with prior travel assignments who are comfortable managing geriatric patients and working independently within a flexible geographic territory.
