Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)
Location: Baltimore, Maryland
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Employment Type: Travel/Contract
- Shift: Night shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (18:50 - 07:20)
- Weekly Hours: 36
- Float required between Mother/Baby and Scrub roles
- Call required: 2 shifts every 6 weeks
- Every other weekend required
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Maryland
- Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
- Certifications required:
- Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
- STABLE certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience in charge nurse roles
Additional Requirements
- Valid driver’s license if driving is an essential job function
- Criminal background check within 90 days, including multi-state and federal searches
- I9/E-Verify attestation required prior to start
- Drug screen within 90 days of start (excluding marijuana)
- Annual physical exam confirming ability to perform job without accommodations and free from communicable disease
- Immunizations and health documentation required:
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
- Tdap vaccine within 10 years preferred
- Documentation of MMR (measles, mumps, rubella) and Varicella immunity or vaccination
- Hepatitis B titer, series, or signed declination
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption during flu season
- N95 fit test within 9 months of start and updated annually (client may complete onsite if needed)
- Completion of facility-specific orientation modules prior to start
- Medication/pharmacology competency exam and other competency exams required prior to start and updated regularly
- Two positive supervisory references supporting at least 2 years of experience within the last 3 years
- Complete 7 years of work history with no gaps, including education, employment, license, and contact information
Job Responsibilities
- Provide labor and delivery nursing care during night shifts
- Float between mother/baby and scrub roles as needed
- Participate in call schedule and weekend coverage
Notes
- Prior travel experience is required (must have completed at least one prior travel assignment)
- Candidates local within 60 miles may be considered at a different rate (not included here)
This position is ideal for experienced L&D RNs with travel nursing background seeking a night shift travel contract in Maryland.
