Job Details
- Shift: Night, 4 shifts of 12 hours each (18:00 – 6:30)
- Hours per Week: 48 hours
- Contract Length: 13 weeks (minimum for new contracts and extensions)
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week; facility may call off up to 3 times during the 13-week assignment
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Schedule: 48-hour shifts only; block scheduling may be accommodated but not guaranteed
- Locals: Not accepted within 100-mile radius
- Pending License: Accepted
- Return to Office (RTO) Restrictions: Absences greater than 7 days require approval
- Patient Diagnoses: Opioid Use Disorder (OUD), Alcohol Use Disorder (ETOH), Poly-substance use
Job Description
- Primarily covering the Addictions Medicine department within a correctional setting
- Responsibilities include:
- Administering Suboxone, detox medications, and Methadone medication pass
- Conducting assessments and treatments for patients undergoing substance withdrawal
- Monitoring patients during Suboxone induction process
- Must be able to pass facility background check
- Must learn all posts in the correctional setting
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico (pending licenses accepted)
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience within the last year, excluding Home Health, Hospice, and School Services
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- MOAB (Management of Aggressive Behavior) certification
Facility & Work Environment
- Charting System: Cerner
- Parking: No fee
- Scrub Color: Black
- Overtime: Paid after 48 hours worked (for contracts signed on or after 10/30/2025)
Additional Notes
- A valid non-local driver’s license is required; identification cards are not accepted
- Location is not near public transportation; candidates must provide transportation plan if approval is needed
- New contracts and extensions must be at least 10 weeks
- A 6-month break is required after 4 consecutive assignments or 1 year of cumulative work, whichever comes first
