BMT Oncology RN

Overview

Travel/contract role in Saint Louis, Missouri
Day shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00–19:30
36 hours per week
13-week contract
Unit has 32 beds/rooms and an average daily census of 30
Ratio: 4:1 for all shifts
Floating is required within the Oncology department as needed, and the role may be floated to the unit with the greatest need each shift

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Missouri
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Oncology experience within the last year
1 year of oncology experience
ACLS issued by American Heart Association
BLS issued by American Heart Association
ONS/ONCC
Must pass the Relias EKG exam for interpretation and management of cardiac dysrhythmias
Experience administering chemotherapy
Experience accessing and managing ports
Experience with central line blood draws
Experience with central line/implanted line care
Experience with PICC line care
Experience with telemetry interpretation
Experience with auto stem cell transplants
Experience administering blood and blood products
Experience starting and maintaining IVs
Experience with antibiotics
Experience with antiemetics
Experience with Foley catheter insertion/management
Experience with isolation precautions
Experience with telemetry monitoring
Every other weekend required

Preferred

Will accept first-time travelers

Unit/Clinical Focus

BMT Oncology
Will not always be working specifically on the 9800 unit
