Overview

• Travel/contract RN role in Columbus, Ohio.
• 16-week assignment.
• Night shift, 3x12 hours, 19:00–7:30.
• 36 hours per week.
• The unit is a mixed-acuity surgical oncology floor that cares for both PCU and Med Surg patients.
• The role may require floating within scope of practice.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Ohio.
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit (1 year of experience).
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year.
• BLS issued by American Heart Association.
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association.
• NIHSS.
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
• Experience in a(n) Acute Care setting.
• Surgical Oncology experience.
• 2 professional references.

• Ohio BCI/FBI fingerprinting within 1 year of start.

• Common patient populations include surgical oncology, hepatobiliary, colorectal, and plastics.
• Common procedures and treatments include chemotherapy, blood transfusions, IV antibiotics, oncologic emergencies, cytokine release syndrome, insulin drips, and heparin drips.
• Strong focus on infection prevention protocols and patient falls.
• Staffing goal is 1:4, with a possible ratio of 1:5.
