Overview

• Travel/Contract role in Stockbridge, Georgia
• Day shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• 36 hours per week
• 20-week contract
• Adults to Geriatrics patient population
• 32-bed unit
• Ratio: 1:5-6

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Georgia
• Med Surg / Telemetry (2 years of experience)
• Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
• One completed travel assignment
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Experience with cardiac or critical care drips (Amiodarone, Cardizem, Dobutamine, Dopamine, Milrinone, Nitroglycerin, Bumex, Lasix, Aggrastat, Argatroban, Heparin, insulin drips)
• Experience with arrhythmia management
• Experience with cardioversion
• Experience with TR Bands (post-cardiac catheterization)
• Mixed Acuity ICU experience
• Pre/Post Cath Lab experience

Clinical Setting

• Overflow IMCU
• Arrhythmia management
• Cardioversion
• Cardiac CHF
• Chest pain
• Renal
• Pulmonary cases including COPD and pulmonary edema
• PE and DVT
• Stable A-Fib, SVT, and Bradycardia
• Surgical cases including cholecystectomy, appendectomy, chest tubes, and biliary drains
• Occasional vascular patients
• Post Cardiac Cath
• TR Bands
• DKA
• Occasional Ortho or CVA overflow
• Basic arrhythmia knowledge
• Everything under the Med Surg umbrella

Additional Details

• Floating within the facility/scope of practice as needed
• Call is rare with a 2-hour response time
• Typically every other weekend
• One major holiday expected if it falls during the assignment; two if two fall during the assignment; two of three if three fall during the assignment
• Navy Blue scrubs
• Epic is preferred
• Locals accepted at the same rate
