Work Schedule

• Monday to Friday, no holidays
• Day shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM or 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
• Minimal call required (possibly one night shift 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM for specific emergency ultrasound exams)

Job Description

• Perform all types of ultrasound procedures based on department needs, including General, Transplant, Abdominal, and Pediatrics
• Charting using GE, PACS, and Philips equipment

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of ultrasound technologist experience within the last year
• ARDMS credentials with AB (Abdominal) required; RVT and VT credentials preferred
• Accepts candidates without prior travel experience (first timers welcome)
• Valid driver’s license or state ID
• Massachusetts statewide (iCORI) release required
• Background check including 7-year criminal history and education verification
• Physical exam within 12 months prior to start, including physician statement of fitness to work without restrictions
• Drug test within 30 days of start date covering a comprehensive panel of substances
• Required immunizations or valid declinations (MMR, Hepatitis B, TDAP, Varicella, Flu, COVID-19) with some declinations not accepted for Pediatrics, Maternity, or NICU areas
• Tuberculosis testing: Two PPDs (one within 90 days, one within a year) or QuantiFERON/T-Spot within 90 days; positive TB requires chest X-ray and facility-specific questionnaire
• 2 professional references within 3 years
• Employment application covering 7 years of employment history with explanations for gaps over 30 days
• Skills checklist required prior to start and updated annually as applicable

Additional Compliance and Certifications

• ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP, and other certifications as applicable depending on specialty area (check specific requirements)
• Medication and EKG competency exams required for applicable clinical staff
• COVID-19 declination form required if declining updated vaccine
• Facility-specific health and background documentation must be current and uploaded as required

This position offers a structured weekday schedule with minimal call and the opportunity to work a variety of ultrasound procedures in a hospital setting. Candidates must meet credentialing and compliance requirements specific to Massachusetts healthcare facilities.
