Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse – MS/Telemetry

Location: Titusville, Florida
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Overview

Acute Care Hospital setting with 210 staffed beds
Mixed unit with high acuity patients
Patient ratio experience required: 1:6
Shift: Day shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
Weekend requirement: Every other weekend
Floating required within scope of practice
No block scheduling allowed
Mandatory clinical orientation week: 5 shifts (36-40 hours)
No Return to Office (RTO) during first or last week of assignment
Local candidates not accepted (must live more than 30 miles from facility)

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Florida
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Minimum 2 years of Telemetry experience, including experience within the last year
Experience with a 1:6 patient ratio
Experience with Rapid Response team
Experience with total joint care
ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
Background check within 6 months, including social security trace, education verification, and nationwide checks
Florida AHCA Level II fingerprint clearance required prior to start (Livescan electronic fingerprinting)
Education verification of RN degree (ASN, BSN, or MSN)
Physical exam within 6 months of start date
Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
Drug screening (9-panel) within 3 months of start
Required vaccinations or documented immunity for:
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella)
- Hepatitis B
- Varicella
- Seasonal Flu (vaccination or declination)
- COVID-19 (vaccination or approved exemption)
Two professional references within 2 years
Performance evaluation within the last year if applicable
Completion of facility-specific orientation modules and competency exams prior to start
Completion and signing of various facility-specific documents including confidentiality, orientation acknowledgements, and vaccination declination forms if applicable

Strict attendance policy: 3 call-outs may result in termination
Shift change notices require advance notice; refusal to change shifts may affect pay or result in termination

This position is ideal for experienced RNs with strong telemetry skills who are comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-acuity acute care environment and are willing to float within their scope. Orientation and compliance requirements are extensive and must be completed timely to ensure a smooth start.
