Job Opportunity: Cath Lab Tech

Location: Worcester, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Work in a Cardiac Cath Lab performing general and cardiac catheterization procedures.
• Shift schedule: 4 days a week, 10-hour shifts (Wednesdays 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM; other days 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM).
• Experience with Electrophysiology (EP) and Vascular procedures is a plus but not required.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in Massachusetts (can be pending at time of application).
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience as a Cath Lab Technologist in a Cardiac Cath Lab, including experience within the last year.
• ARRT Radiology credentials (RCIS not accepted).

Certifications & Compliance

• Valid Driver’s License/State ID.
• Background check including 7-year criminal history and education verification.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification required.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
• Other certifications may be required depending on specialty and unit.

Health & Safety Requirements

• Physical exam within 12 months prior to start, including physician statement of fitness.
• Immunizations or valid declinations required for:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap
  • TB testing (PPD or equivalent)
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR)
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
  • Seasonal Flu vaccine or declination
  • COVID-19 vaccination or declination (most recent vaccine required)
• Drug testing within 30 days of start.
• Other facility-specific health screenings and questionnaires.

Additional Requirements

• Employment application covering 7 years of work history with explanations for gaps over 30 days.
• Two professional references within the last three years.
• Skills checklist completed prior to start and updated annually.
• Compliance with state-specific requirements such as Massachusetts Nurse Aide Registry Search (not required for subcontractors).

Notes

• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position.
• Candidates with additional EP and Vascular procedure experience are preferred but not mandatory.
